As the U.S. economy slowly recovers, continued high unemployment and aging baby boomers signal double trouble for the nation's health insurers. New research from CognetX, Inc. finds that while over 10 million more individuals were insured in March 2011 compared to April 2009, growth in government-based coverage — State Medicaid and Medicare — outpaced activity in the Commercial sector, jumping nearly 18%.
